NFL Is Bringing Swagger Back

The NFL announced today that at the start of the 2022 season they will be allowing teams to wear different helmets with their alternate uniforms. We haven't seen teams be allowed to do this since the 2013 NFL season.

This rule has always seemed dumb to me because there are teams at every level, besides the NFL, wearing more than one helmet. First team that comes to mind for most would be the Oregon Ducks who are CONSTANTLY dripping. Even High School teams have been allowed to rock more than one shell, the Bishop Gorman Gaels out of Las Vegas (shoutout Tate Martell) have at least four helmets that they rotate between. If colleges and even high schools can afford multiple helmets, than surely every NFL team can - it's about time Roger Goodell has decided to stop being a little Chucky lookalike bitch and allow some swag to return to the league.

What helmets can we look forward to seeing on the field again? Personally, I hope we get the opportunity to see TB12 in the creme Tampa Bay Bucs jerseys. And, possibly seeing Derick Henry in the throwback oilers jerseys.

This news isn't all good though. This new rule opens up the opportunity of having to watch the packers in those dreadful brown helmets they used to wear - and even worse those bright yellow and blue helmets we used to see Donovan McNabb under-perform in.

Nonetheless, it's exciting to get some exciting rule changes from the league.

Roger Goodell still sucks.
